Johan Persson, born 1950, works full time as an artist since 1976, Johan lives on the Swedish island of Öland since 2010. Johan mainly paints landscape, city motifs and birds but also portraits, preferably in watercolor. He has illustrated a number of books, painted historical murals at museums, designed stamps, painted official portraits and held a number of exhibitions.
He takes the motifs from the Swedish island of Öland villages, the rocky beaches on the eastern side of Öland and from Kalmar and its surroundings, also from the capital of Sweden, Stockholm.
